SeeMeTaxi is a live demand tool for London taxi drivers. We designed it to be privacy-first: you use it anonymously and we collect as little as possible.
No account required
You do not create an account. We do not ask for your name, phone number, email, or any login. There is no personal profile.
Location
Your device location (approximate or precise) is used only when you actively report a signal or ask for work ("Find a Fare"). We do not track your location continuously or in the background. When shown to other drivers, demand appears as an area — never your exact live position.
What we store
- Anonymous demand/rank reports you submit (signal type, an approximate location, and time).
- A random device/install identifier so the app works and so duplicate or abusive reports can be limited. It is not linked to your identity.
- A push notification token, only if you enable nearby alerts, so we can notify you of demand.
How we use it
- Show live demand near you.
- Send nearby demand alerts (if enabled).
- Power "Best Bet" / recommendations.
- Basic reliability and aggregation to keep signals useful.
We do not run advertising or third-party tracking, and we do not build an advertising profile of you.
Retention & expiry
Live reports are short-lived and expire automatically (typically within 10–20 minutes). Expired signals are removed from the live map. We may keep anonymised, aggregated demand history that cannot be linked back to any individual.
Delete my data
You can remove your data at any time using "DELETE MY DATA" in the app's Settings. This deletes your install identifier, alerts and pending recommendations. Anonymised aggregate demand statistics, which cannot identify you, may remain.
Admin Quick Feed
An admin-only tool may seed demand signals into the map. It stores only a signal type, an approximate location and time. It does not store WhatsApp names, phone numbers, messages, screenshots, group names or any contact/profile data.
